the goal
- 12 managers from Germany and Belgium should be encouraged and motivated and create ties to the company through its employee development program.
- In order to achieve this, new development paths should be perused, which allow participants to think more freely and beyond the normal training process.


the content
- Team
PUETTGEN Consulting (lead agency) and Team Seefried Group jointly undertook the planning and implementation of the cross border High Potential Program.
- The task
The participants of the High Potential Program should develop and implement a course for students on the subject of „Surfing the web safely“ as part of a Corporate Social learning scheme.
- Implementation
- From the very beginning, the managers were thrown in at the deep end and were brought to the vocational school without any prior notice. After a short briefing, the students joined the group. The students then expressed their concerns and asked questions about surfing the Internet safely.
- Based on this, the managers were expected to develop a suitable training proposal about how to use the Internet safely. The pupils’ answers were sorted into areas of activity, which were then incorporated into a course program.
- The language barrier between the managers and the students was particularly challenging, as half of the managers couldn’t speak German and many of the students couldn’t speak French, Flemish or English.
- The analysis, planning and implementation of the managers was carefully observed and assessed by diagnostic experts. At the end of the day, individual feedback discussions were held.

the result
- The managers did an amazing job. The course ran smoothly and was well structured; the students had fun and showed that they had learned something. According to the tenor, these classes would be welcomed again.
- The managers were also very satisfied with the training. They were particularly enthusiastic about the transfer of skills and the degree of innovation achieved.
- The social component and the added value for an external target group were of particular interest to this project.
